Chinese firm doesn’t want Scorpios, Virgos

WUHAN, China, Nov. 25 (UPI) — An English-language training company in China is drawing criticism for job postings stating Scorpios and Virgos need not apply.

The company, which was not named by the Chutian Metropolis Daily in Wuhan but put up postings at a Wuhan university, states it will not accept applications from potential teachers and clerks born under certain zodiac signs, The Daily Telegraph, Britain, reported Friday.

“We don’t want Scorpios or Virgos, and Capricorns, Pisces and Libras will be prioritized,” the posting reads.

A manager at the firm, a woman surnamed Xia, was quoted by Chutian Metropolis Daily as saying her research found Scorpios have strong personalities and are prone to mood swings, while Virgos tend to be highly critical and don’t spend a lot of time in a single job.

“I hired people with those two star signs before, and they either liked quarreling with colleagues or they could not do the job for long,” Xia said.
